The New Masats RE2b Ramp: Enhanced safety and better passenger flow

For wheelchair users, the correct ramp inclination is crucial for smooth, effortless access. The new Masats RE2b ramp offers comfortable access, but also offers additional width, enhancing both safety and comfort.
This compact, powered ramp is seamlessly integrated into the vehicle floor, offering a superior user experience. Its wider platform ensures easier boarding, while its fully automatic operation provides convenience. When needed, it can also be manually operated. The RE2b is compatible with the latest Masats Evolution electronics, featuring predictive maintenance capabilities, as well as the standard Masats ECU.
The first units are already in service in vehicles in Singapore, a market where Masats has a strong presence
You will be able to see this ramp on the Masats stand at the upcoming UITP exhibition in Hamburg, 16-18 June.
Enhanced Safety with the Passenger Information System (PIS-L)
The optional Passenger Information System (PIS-L) takes accessibility and safety to the next level. Integrated into the ramp platform, this innovative system uses red and green color-coded lighting to clearly indicate the status of both the door and ramp, making access more intuitive and secure.
🔹 Steady green – Safe to enter or exit
🔹 Flashing green – Ramp or door in motion
🔹 Flashing red – Closing in progress
By providing highly visible side signage, this system improves accessibility for all passengers, ensuring a more inclusive and user-friendly transport experience.
With the new Masats RE2b ramp, accessibility is wider, safer, and smarter than ever.
